Using Things Management with QR Codes

Things Management connects your physical environment to the Laksana digital platform. By attaching QR codes to Locations (Sites) and Things (Facilities/Assets), your team can scan to verify presence, report problems, and log work instantly.

Note: This feature is available on Advanced and Enterprise plans.

How to Set Up

1. Create your Things: Go to Operations > Things and add your facilities or assets.

   • For Assets, ensure you specifically select "Asset" as the type and fill in details like Serial Number.

2. Generate QR Codes:

   • In the Things list, click the Print QR action on any item.
   • Print the generated label and attach it to the physical item.

Using the Scan Feature

When a user scans the QR code with their phone camera:

1. They are taken to the Things Dashboard.
2. They can see the item's status and recent history.
3. They can perform actions like:
   • Report Problem: Pre-filled with the location.
   • Log Work: Quickly submit a routine log.
   • Start Patrol: If the facility has a Compliance Checklist assigned, they can start a structured inspection.

Compliance Checks

To enable "Start Patrol" or other checklists:

1. Go to Compliance > Templates and create a checklist (e.g., "Daily Patrol").
2. The system automatically links active checklists to the relevant facilities.
3. When scanned, the "Start Patrol" button will appear on the dashboard.
