How Guards Check In via QR Scanning
This guide explains the guard workflow for starting and completing patrol rounds.
Starting a Patrol Session
- Scan the first QR code at the route's starting checkpoint
- The system automatically creates a new patrol session
- You will see a confirmation with the route name and start time
Checking In at Each Checkpoint
- Scan the QR code at each checkpoint in order
- Each scan is GPS-stamped and time-verified
- The system records your check-in automatically
- Continue to the next checkpoint
Completing the Route
- Scan the final checkpoint QR code
- The patrol session is marked as completed
- A summary shows total time and all checkpoints visited
What If I Miss a Checkpoint?
- Missed checkpoints are flagged on the manager dashboard
- You can report the reason via WhatsApp message
- The manager can review and annotate the session
Anti-Fraud Protection
- Every check-in is GPS-verified
- The system detects if you are not at the checkpoint location
- Timestamps cannot be manipulated
- Session history is immutable
Tips
- Make sure your phone has GPS/location enabled
- Scan QR codes clearly — hold steady for 1-2 seconds
