Setting Up Security Patrol Routes
Security Patrol lets you define patrol routes with QR checkpoints so guards can verify their rounds with GPS-stamped check-ins.
Step 1: Create a Patrol Route
- Go to Operations > Security Patrol
- Click New Patrol Route
- Enter a name (e.g., "Night Patrol - Zone A")
- Select the site this route belongs to
- Set the route as active
Step 2: Add Checkpoint Points
- Click Add Checkpoint on the route
- Select or create an Asset/Space as the checkpoint location
- Order the checkpoints in the sequence guards should follow
- Generate and print QR codes for each checkpoint
Step 3: Print and Place QR Codes
- Click Print QR on each checkpoint
- Print the QR stickers
- Place them at the physical checkpoint locations
- Test by scanning with a phone camera
Step 4: Assign Guards
- Ensure guards are added as members in your organization
- Assign them to the site where the patrol route is active
- Guards can now scan the first QR to start a patrol session
Tips
- Use clear checkpoint names that match physical locations
- Place QR codes at eye level in well-lit areas
- Test the full route before going live
- Monitor patrol sessions on the dashboard in real time
